The sustainability journey of Waterville Links was co-funded by the European Union, under the I-STARS SMP-COSME-2021-TOURSME Project No. 101085914
This initiative supports tourism businesses across Europe in reducing environmental impact and enhancing sustainable operations. Our participation helps ensure that Waterville Golf Links continues to thrive in harmony with its natural surroundings.
🐇 Section 3: Biodiversity at Waterville
The course is home to:
Native dune grasses and rare coastal flora
Over 50 recorded bird species
Irish hares and other protected wildlife
We are working to monitor and protect these habitats through careful maintenance practices and minimal chemical use.
